Essential Job Responsibilities

The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The employee may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.

- Assists with pre‐placement physicals, orders lab work, does TB tests/orders chest x‐rays, sets up health record.
- Conducts Annual Assessment and TB testing of all employees and Volunteers.
- Provides first aide, blood pressure checks, sick all care, employees at home sick follow‐up by phone (at request from department).
- Assists employees with Workers Comp/Disability/FMLA Leaves. Processes and ensures benefits are available. Coordinates Return‐To‐ Work Program.
- Attends Infection Control and Safety/Emergency Management meetings monthly and provides statistics for each.
- Provides immunizations as required, needed, requested (MMR, Flu, Tetanus).
- Ensures all Workers Compensation records include the OSHA 200 log and are maintained consistent with regulations and maintains OSHA log.
- Keeps records of employee testing, lab work, accidents, illnesses and enters health information in computer.
- Provides first aid for on the job injuries.
- Provides health counseling to employees.
- Tracks and performs annual respirator fit‐testing as required.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

- Education:
- 2 yr. college degree, R.N., Bachelors of Nursing required.
- Experience:
- 5‐10 years nursing experience
- Training/License:
- Computer skills/current NYS Registered Nurse License
