Job PurposeThe Development Assistant Manager will advance the Parrish\'s philanthropic goals by supporting and implementing effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for donors and prospects across the Development department. Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director, this position will implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to increase the Parrish\'s individual donor base and provide direct support for individual giving initiatives with a focus on exhibition funding and exhibition donors. The Development Assistant Manager supports the Deputy Executive Director initiatives and works collaboratively within a larger Development team of and routinely collaborates across departments including the Marketing and Communications team and the Curatorial team.Due to the nature of this role and interaction with staff across the organization, this position is primarily on-site and in-person. Remote working days may be possible on a case-by-case basis with supervisor approval. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain, manage, grow, and solicit from a portfolio of 60-80 individual donors, including sending pitch-packets, conducting regular in-person/virtual meetings and other communications.Develop, expand, and implement a sustainable individual donor pipeline for exhibition support; implement cultivation and stewardship that graduates donors to the next levelResponsible for initiating, creating and delivering pitches for fundraising initiatives such as exhibitions, benefit events and other initiatives, in collaboration with the rest of the Development, Marketing and Communications, and Curatorial teams.Responsible for keeping track of exhibition solicitations, credit lines and delivering perks as per pitch packetsResponsible for cultivating and engaging exhibition donors after their initial donation to develop and expand the pipeline of ongoing museum supportersProvide special event support to development team including list creation, invitation management, RSVP follow up, attendee research, and on-site support. Coordinate with internal team for seamless event production.Manage cultivation events, including, but not limited to, exhibition-related events.Conduct research, prospecting, and create reports for potential donors.Create exhibition reports for donors that funded the exhibitionsWork with Deputy Executive Director and Deputy Director of Development for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.Collaborate with Marketing and Communications department to create streamlined donor communication (including digital) strategy, incorporating seasonal touch points, key development strategies, and messages as needed.Cultivate and steward high-net-worth individuals at exhibition openings, donor receptions, and other events.Maintain database records, hard files, and e-files of all individual donor transactions and related development material.
