Pay Range: $15.50-$17.00
The job purpose of a Personal Shopper is to accurately and efficiently fulfill online or personalized grocery orders, meticulously selecting high-quality products that meet customer preferences and special requests, thereby ensuring a seamless and satisfying shopping experience for digital and specific clientele.
Accurate Order Fulfillment: Carefully reading and understanding customer orders, including specific notes, substitutions, and quality preferences, to select the exact items requested.
Quality & Freshness Selection: Exercising discernment in choosing the freshest produce, highest quality meats, and best-condition packaged goods, as if shopping for themselves.
Substitution Management: Proactively identifying appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items, and clearly communicating these options to customers or following established store protocols for approval.
Efficiency & Speed: Picking orders in a timely and organized manner to meet scheduled delivery or pickup times, while maintaining accuracy.
Product Knowledge: Possessing a comprehensive understanding of store layout, product locations, and department offerings (e.g., organic, gluten-free, local) to quickly locate items.
Packaging & Staging: Properly bagging and packaging orders, separating items as necessary (e.g., frozen, fragile), and staging them correctly for pickup or delivery.
Customer Communication (as needed): Utilizing store systems or direct communication methods (text, app) to clarify order details, suggest substitutions, or notify customers of order status.
Adherence to Standards: Following all food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures, especially for temperature-sensitive items.
Problem Resolution: Addressing any picking discrepancies or customer concerns related to their order with professionalism and efficiency.
Professional Conduct and Communication: Following management instructions, providing constructive feedback, completing all required training (including on company technologies and equipment), adhering to company policies and health regulations, and operating powered equipment only if trained. Performing all other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Demonstrate basic math and English language proficiency.
Meet physical demands: stand, walk, crouch, bend, stretch, regularly lift 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs., and perform duties that require significant walking, pushing, and pulling of equipment.
Work in varying temperature conditions.
