Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical / Control Systems Engineer who is passionate about designing, programming, and integrating automation systems. This role is heavily focused on controls and programming — PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA — with the added responsibility of ensuring those systems are properly engineered, installed, and commissioned in the field. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing ladder logic in the office and troubleshooting control panels at a quarry site.
Key Responsibilities
Program, configure, and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
Develop, test, and optimize control logic for industrial machinery and plant processes
Create HMI screens, alarm management, and operator interfaces
Support commissioning: bring new systems online, troubleshoot startup issues, and train operators
Work with project managers and electricians to ensure proper installation of control hardware
Produce and review control schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists
Provide on-site and remote support for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and optimization
Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, MSHA, OSHA, and other applicable standards
