We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment and work the line as needed. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while managing kitchen staff and resources efficiently.
Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Work the line as needed.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and budgeting to maintain cost-effective operations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Coordinate banquet services and catering events as needed, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
- Implement health and safety regulations within the kitchen to ensure compliance with local laws and guidelines.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in kitchen management within the food industry, preferably in casual dining or catering environments.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage costs effectively while maximizing quality.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in supervising staff with excellent leadership abilities to motivate teams effectively.
- Proficiency in cooking techniques with a solid understanding of menu development.
- Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus for establishments that serve alcohol.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
