The Department Technical Director directs the use of Film & Media Studies assets, including facilities & equipment spaces and studio spaces. They are responsible for 1.) computer station hardware & software installation and upgrades, 2.) local server maintenance and administration, 3.) overseeing asset purchasing, 4.) providing support in the development, implementation, and oversight of film and video projects for students and faculty.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in film or related field.Possession of management skills and ability to contribute to a healthy departmental culture.Demonstrated experience and proficiency with shooting and editing a variety of film and video projects.Familiarity with digital video, 16mm film, animation, and digital imaging hardware and software.Ability to keep-up with rapidly changing audio-visual technologies and techniques.Evening and weekend availability required.
