Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans for toddler children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
- Promote literacy education through storytelling, reading, and language development activities.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise children during outdoor playtime and other activities.
- Assist with toilet training and personal hygiene routines as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates / Early Childhood Education or CDA
- Previous experience working with children.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment.
- Ability to develop age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Skills:
- Educate: Ability to provide instruction and guidance to young children in an educational setting.
- Literacy education: Knowledge of early literacy skills development and strategies to promote reading readiness.
- Toddler care: Experience working with toddlers and understanding their unique needs and developmental milestones.
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and organized learning environment for preschoolers.
- Behavior management: Skill in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive behavior choices.
- Daycare: Familiarity with the operations of a daycare center, including licensing requirements and safety protocols.
- Lesson planning: Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and promote learning outcomes.
- Experience working students: Previous experience working directly with students in an educational or childcare setting.
- Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of child development and the ability to support children's growth in all areas.
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of best practices and theories in early childhood education.
