Job Summary:
The Surgery Clinical Practice Coordinator (SCPC) facilitates coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for inpatient surgery patients to ensure high-quality outcomes on acute care surgical units (5A, 5B, 7A). The SCPC will collaborate with local and national experts to drive innovative care, lead organizational and system change, and optimize resources to improve patient outcomes. They will provide clinical expertise, staff education, and lead and/or assist with system-wide surgical initiatives. They will maintain effective relationships with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary colleagues while demonstrating professionalism and leadership within the institution. Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered RN. Master's degree in Nursing and three years post licensure acute care experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
National certification in a specialty field is strongly preferred.
