Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse management, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and logistics. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management, process improvement, and team leadership to ensure efficient operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Implement process improvements and lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with demand planning and production planning teams to align inventory with business needs.
- Utilize ERP systems such as Logiwa for effective data management and reporting on warehouse performance metrics.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
- Oversee dispatching processes and order fulfillment activities to meet customer expectations.
- Meets physical demands of warehouse and delivery roles, including lifting heavy items up to 75 lbs safely.
- Schedule pickups with UPS
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role within logistics or supply chain environments.
- Strong understanding of profit & loss management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with transportation planning, freight management, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Experience with inventory management systems, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and supply chain analytics to drive operational enhancements.
- Proficient in materials management, procurement processes, and fleet management principles.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
- Experience in a pick and pack distribution faciality
- Knowledge with Microsoft and Excell
