Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher/Manager to lead our transportation operations with energy and precision. Duties

Lead and supervise the dispatch team to coordinate freight deliveries, pickups, and shipments efficiently across multiple locations.
Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to plan routes, monitor shipments, and track fleet performance.
Manage GPS and GIS tools for real-time tracking, route optimization, and transportation planning to improve delivery times and reduce costs.
Oversee shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry into AS400 and other enterprise systems like 3PL platforms.
Coordinate with logistics providers, freight carriers, and warehouse teams to streamline operations and resolve issues promptly.
Implement fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and dispatching procedures.
Maintain clear communication with drivers via multi-line phone systems while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve processes, and support supply chain decision-making.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to transportation management.
Provide training and guidance on the use of transportation planning tools, data entry protocols, and communication standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination with a strong understanding of dispatching processes.
Proficiency in GIS, GPS technology, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
Knowledge of freight operations including shipping & receiving procedures and fleet management practices.
Strong analysis skills for interpreting data related to supply chain performance and transportation efficiency.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Skilled in data entry with high accuracy using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers and shipping & receiving protocols.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic typing skills for quick documentation updates during operations shifts.
Experience working with transportation planning tools such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar software is highly desirable.
